Claudia Moura bScPT ACC
Pelvic health physiotherapist
Claudia Moura (She /Her)
Claudia brings to South Edmonton Women’s Care Clinic her experience and love for Pelvic Health. She has been working in Canada with rehabilitation for the past 14 years in a variety of areas, such as hospital, outpatient rehabilitation and private clinics.
Claudia has recently completed the ISM Series – Clinical Mentorship with Diane Lee in Vancouver, and has completed the Barral Institute Visceral Manipulation courses, as well as neural Craniosacral therapy from the Upledger Institute in Florida. She believes that a multi dimensional approach to
pelvic health has to consider the articular, myofascial, neural and visceral systems combined with patient’s life story, functional goals and sensorial dimension. Despite having most of her experience in general physiotherapy (geriatrics, orthopaedics, neurological patients), her new passion is to help pregnant and post-partum ladies to endure the maternity journey with grace and confidence. Claudia has experience working with women of all ages, assisting them to overcome sexual health-related challenges, prepare for childbirth, return to exercise and activity after pregnancy and to age gracefully from peri to post menopause.
When she is not practicing, Claudia likes travelling, sports (swimming, cycling and running (Triathlons) and scuba diving), crafts (specially decorating baby showers and making diaper cakes), having lots of fun with her son Marco and helping her community with volunteer work and teaching).
Claudia is looking forward to hear your birth stories and to help you achieve your goals.
